Ultrasilver – Super laser imaging on metallics

Ultrasilver coating on paper, board and films has opened up profitable new markets for colour toner imaging technologies, especially using novel toners with effects never seen before.

Info

White and neon toners combined with appropriate software are creating opportunities for, not only excellent prints, but also for wide-ranging applications.

Ultrasilver is a coated material in which the metallic particles are enveloped in binder, such that, the material becomes non-conductive, enabling electrographic printing technology to be used for best effect. The surfaces exhibit a beautiful silver-matt silk finish, which can be used for the highest quality packaging or labelling.

MDV has double-side coated paper in 125-360 gsm weights, and has single-side coated materials in 120 and 235 gsm. In addition, 78 gsm single-side coated product is offered for self-adhesive conversion for labelling applications. The technology is not limited to paper, and includes PET films in 50 microns, single-side for labelling, and 100 microns, double-side for high-value posters.
