MDV and UPM Raflatac team up to show the terrific labels which can be produced on the Xeikon 3000 series digital label printers which lay down a white toner.

As Label expo Chicago, draws nearer, visitors are becoming more and more excited to discover new and profitable niche opportunities for label printing applications. Additionally, as Xeikon prepare to exhibit their latest digital imaging label printers, a novel Ultrasilver smooth matt paper, self-adhesive laminated by UPM Raflatac, will be on display at Xeikon Booth number 728 in Hall 7.

Reel label-stock will be printed illustrating the magic of laying down white toner in places where the silver surface needs to be blocked and producing magnificent images by CMYK printing on top of the white background. These images will be contrasted in the self-same upper half of the reel to the very same images produced, without laying down this white toner.

The difference in printing effects can be described as “chalk and cheese”.
