GRAPHCOM showcase Digital Printing Solutions on MDV Substrates

Greece’s biggest print show, SYSKEVASIA, took place from the 12 to the 15th October 2018 in Athens this year. GRAPHCOM had a range of the newest digital printing machines on their stand. Printing, finishing and die-cutting equipment was demonstrating live, using MDV’s speciality substrates, illustrating added-value applications which enhance profitability for manufacturers.

Durable self-adhesive label material in 50 microns, white matt polyester, was printed on the Xante laser sheet-fed equipment, and the popular 125 microns, white matt Polyester double-side coated, was also on display.  Additionally, in-line die cutting equipment, was on show.

HP ‘s Pagewide XL 8000 was printing MDV’s coated TYVEK with excellent results.

The highlight was Konica Minolta’s latest Accurio 190 roll-to-roll Label press. This versatile printer gave superb results on MDV’s double-side coated XTP (Polyolefine) films in 150, 200, and 250 microns, thicknesses. The base is a temperature-resistant Polyolefine film engineered by Tech Folien Ltd in the UK, and is coated by MDV, designed to provide brilliant prints with top adhesion of the toners to the substrate. Amazing print results were obtained also on the high gloss transparent Polyester 125, and 175 microns, films.
