MDV Group is a niche manufacturer with locations in Karlstein, Germany, Liverpool, UK, and Kostrzyn, Poland. A group turnover of approximately 30 million Euro is achieved with 130 employees.
Expertise in blown film extrusion at Tech Folien, Liverpool provides one of the inputs for MDV, Karlstein, to enable production of speciality coated PE/PP films, sold under the Robuskin brand name primarily for the labeling and graphics markets. In addition, more resistant, solvent coatings applied at PKV, Kostrzyn, widen the group's range of special substrates.
Paper and Board specialities are still the major proportion of MDV's turnover, and well-known brands like Fluolux®, fluorescent label face papers, and Jetprint®, Aquaskin®, outdoor inkjet print media, remain important market segments.
Joint developments in film manufacturing and coating have led to the birth of a unique polyolefine film called XTP, which is heat resistant and printable with digital toner technologies.
