MDV is one of Europe’s leading paper and films coating and converting companies. Our modern production facility is located in Karlstein, which is approximately 30 minutes’ drive from Frankfurt am Main.

 

Equipped with two 2.2 metre wide aqueous, state-of the art coating machines, and a comprehensive conversion department, a triple shift system employing approximately 85 people, generates a turnover of more than 20 million Euro per annum.

 

The latest coating machine has been designed so that using a trolley system, different coating heads can be introduced, and there are plans to modify the front-end further to enable even more flexibility in the choice of coating head. The existing product range will be further enhanced in the near future.

 

Conversion includes embossing, supercalendering, lacquering and printing reel substrates made of paper and board (40 - 500 gsm) or films ranging from 36 - 400 µm.

 

Combining extensive experience in coating chemistries with our processing know-how, we offer not only branded films like Robuskin® and BioStar® and fluorescent papers like Fluolux® and Jetprint®, but also specialise in providing solutions to your substrate problems.

 

Our process and choice of raw materials has enabled us to manufacture in an environmentally responsible and energy efficient manner for many years. Timely investments in energy recovery and waste disposal systems, guarantee manufacturing integrity for the future.

 

Effective quality assurance management systems ensure consistency in top quality products. Qualified R & D staff is continually working on product and cost optimization, which also helps our customers to fulfill the ever increasing, high performance requirements afforded by the market place.

 

As competent and experienced partners, we are present in all important international markets, naturally, with our home market in Europe. 50% of our products are exported to customers in more than 30 countries.
